McCLARIN Composites is currently seeking employees to work as Machine Operators (Chopper Gun Operators and various Machine Operators) at our Hanover, PA locations!


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Uses fixtures, jigs, and various methods of assembly as needed to complete quality products.
  • Prepares parts for shipment, inspecting them for defects.
  • Makes suggestions for adjusting or modifying jigs as necessary to make acceptable parts.
  • Maintains 6S principles.
  • Completes required paperwork (i.e., MO’s, checklists, schedules, SQDC Boards).
  • Responsible for all Safety, Quality, Deliver and Cost in the department.


Requirements:

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understands jigs and fixtures as needed for assembly.
  • Able to lift up to 45 pounds 2 times per hour and/or within the established job cycle.
  • Able to safely and efficiently use required tools, including, but not limited to, common powered hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Able to work, with moderate supervision, from verbal and written instructions, drawings, blueprints, quality checklists, and sample parts.
  • Capable of working efficiently and to standard.
  • Able to finish parts to a class A finish.
  • Able to work in a dusty environment, using air supplied hood or dust mask as required.


EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Must read, write, perform basic math, have a working knowledge of decimals and fractions, read measuring devices and gauges, and interpret simple blueprints.
  • 1 Year experience in manufacturing environment preferred, but not required!

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the manufacturing manager.
  • Obey all safety rules as described in company safety and accident polices.
