As the Lead Hairstylist, you will be responsible for overseeing the hairstyling operations within our establishment. Your primary goal will be to ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining a cohesive and productive team environment. You will demonstrate expert-level skills in hairstyling techniques, provide guidance and mentorship to junior stylists, and uphold the salon's standards of excellence.

Responsibilities:

As a Salon Floor Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the salon floor. overseeing the hairstyling operations within our establishment. Your primary responsibilities and goals are to ensure exceptional service and customer, while maintaining a cohesive and productive team environment. You will assist with client appointments, coordinating with stylists in partnership with the front desk operations coordinator. Assist with managing salon inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. You will serve as a liaison between clients and staff members to ensure a positive experience for all. You will demonstrate expert-level skills in hairstyling techniques, provide guidance, mentorship and training to new team members and junior stylists, and uphold the salon's standards of excellence and overall mission and values.

You will work alongside the salon leadership team to ensure the effective and efficient running of the salon, identify areas of opportunity and growth, as well as ways to grow and empower the team as a whole. Additionally, serve as a liaison between clients, staff members and leadership team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with leadership to implement and ensure that the overall mission, vision and values are adhered to and practiced in all we do and by all members of the team.

1. Hair Styling
Perform a wide range of hairstyling services including cutting, coloring, and styling for diverse clientele.

2. Salon Operations Coordination:
- Oversee the daily operations of the salon floor, including opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon environment, including workstations and common areas.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within the salon. - - Ensure all equipment and tools are properly sanitized and maintained.
Ensure compliance with salon policies and procedures, including sanitation and safety protocols.

3. Assist with Inventory Management:
- Monitor salon inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Receive, stock, and organize inventory shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to track usage and minimize waste.

4. Customer Service:
- Greet clients upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their salon experience.
- Address client concerns and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist clients with product recommendations and purchases.
- Build strong relationships with clients through exceptional service and personalized attention.
- Encourage repeat business and client referrals through outstanding results and positive experiences.

5. Team Support:
- Coordinate with stylists, technicians, and support staff to optimize scheduling and workflow.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct monthly documented check-ins with team members.
- Enact disciplinary actions when needed
- Provide assistance and support to salon staff as needed.
- Identify training and educational opportunities
- Lead by example, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training to junior stylists to enhance their skills and foster professional growth. Participate on the interview and onboarding team, when needed.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and products in the hairstyling industry. Share knowledge with team members and recommend appropriate products for clients' hair care needs.
- Assists with recruitment and hiring of staff positions that fall underneath them.

Assists with when needed:
1. Client Appointment Management:
- Schedule and manage client appointments using salon software or booking systems. Considering stylists' availability and client preferences. Manage the workflow to optimize productivity while maintaining quality service.
- Coordinate with stylists and technicians to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Respond to client inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts as needed.


Qualifications:


  1. Cosmetology License: Valid state cosmetology license required.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a hairstylist, with demonstrated expertise in cutting, coloring, and styling techniques.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of hairstylists, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  4. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  5. Creativity: Strong creative flair and passion for hairstyling, with the ability to stay updated on current trends and techniques.
  6. Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules, appointments, and salon operations efficiently.
  7. Professionalism: Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients.
  8. Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate client appointments and salon operations.
