Medical Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our client's healthcare team located in Melville. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Perform basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and administering medications
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and coding for billing purposes
- Ensure a clean and organized environment in examination rooms and other patient care areas
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing basic life support techniques
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining medical records and performing administrative tasks
