Openwork is currently seeking Structural Fitters (2nd Shift) in Houston, TX (77078). As a Structural Fitter, you will be responsible for the layout, fit and fabrication of metal components to assemble structural assemblies using structural shapes, steel pipe and plate steel. The Fitter will utilize hand tools and welding equipment while following shop drawings and industry specifications.

Responsibilities for the Structural job include:
- Read blueprints and interpret industry specifications
- Proper layout and tack weld components into assemblies using MIG welder
- Confirm the correctness of assemblies and components using various measuring devices
Qualifications:
- Be a certified welder AWS D1.1
- Ability to read and understand detailed drawings with weld symbols
- Experience with Handrail layout and fitting
- Analyze and interpret blueprints accurately
- Experience with Ladders and Ladders with safety cage layout and fitting
- Experience with industrial stair layout and fitting
- Mig welding
- Experience with Ironwork, Plate Roller, Tube Bender
- Operate Forklift (a plus but not a must-have requirement)
- Operate Overhead Crane (a plus but not a must-have requirement)

Schedule:
- 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM / or as required
