The Camp Administrator is an essential part of the JCamps Team. The Camp Administrator is responsible for providing thorough and consistent administrative support to the Youth and Teen Department for all JCamps programming. Additionally, this position is responsible for providing a pleasant and welcoming environment for parents and visitors to the Camp office, as well as providing superior customer service. This position starts as a seasonal part-time position (approximately 5-10 hours per week) in April, and becomes a seasonal full-time position (8AM-4PM Monday-Friday) with the start of camp on May 28. The position runs until the end of camp on August 16.

What you will be doing:
  • Providing excellent customer service, including but not limited to, answering parent, visitor, and vendor questions regarding camp, directing calls and questions to other departments as necessary, returning and answering calls about JCamps, walking camps to their groups around campus
  • Ensuring that campers have required paperwork
  • Keep and communicate daily absence and early pick up lists
  • Print, copy, and scan materials as needed
  • Assist with planning and preparation of specialty days
  • Assist with communication to parents via email and camp app
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding program participants and JCamps staff

What you will bring:
  • Must be at least 18 by the start of camp and able to pass a background check.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated.
  • Works well collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
  • Adhere to our Mission, Core Values, and all HR policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20-pound objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.
