Job Description: Full Time Exempt Position, Salary Range $65,400 - $69,000 DOE

The Computer/AV/Telephone Support Technician is responsible for providing computer, PBX telephone, Audio Visual (AV) technical support and installation services to the Casino and all of its enterprises, the Gaming Commission, Surveillance, KOA, and Lodge. They must maintain professional communications and relationships with supported users, colleagues, supervisors, and management; and are obligated to uphold and comply with all the standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements of the department, Casino, and Gaming Commission.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, a successful candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Setup, configure, and upgrade Windows and propriety based software
  • Receives and inspects personal computer equipment, related hardware and software.  Loads specified software, including operating systems and end user applications as specified
  • Installs, diagnoses, and repairs computer hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, memory, disk drives, etc.
  • Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs LAN & Telephone cabling & patch panels
  • Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs, moves, and adds to the telephone systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users
  • Installs, configures and maintains Wireless Wi-Fi routers
  • Installs, configures, operates, and diagnoses Audio visual presentation components such as projectors, TV’s, satellite receivers, conference phones, etc.  
  • Provides user training and assistance on use of IT and AV presentation hardware and  software
  • Key respondent for all workstation threat breaches such as computer viruses, ad-ware, etc.
  • Maintains running spare inventory, receives product and processes returns
  • Document problems and solutions
  • Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school, and 6 months experience, or 2-years corporate experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Have a thorough knowledge of networking and operating systems, hardware and common office software, and have excellent analytical skills. CompTia A+ and/or MCP certifications are a plus. Previous experience in a casino gaming environment is a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Be capable of communicating effectively both written and orally.  Have an aptitude for reading and comprehending technical details, and ability to document technical problems and procedures.
