Position Summary:

Leveraging his/her strong DevOps experience and cloud computing knowledge and expertise, the DevOps Engineer will evolve our DevOps practices and support the execution of cloud automation strategy to further advance the organization’s strategic goals. In collaboration with Business and IT partners, he/she will support efforts in optimizing and advancing the organization’s software and data engineering capability by leveraging current cloud-based DevOps tools and best practices in delivering secure, scalable, high availability and resilient enterprise solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in cross-functional agile delivery team and promote DevOps practices in support of product delivery, enterprise initiatives and strategic roadmap.
  • Evolve our DevOps practices and support the execution of cloud automation strategy for enterprise solutions and application components to streamline our business processes.
  • Design, implement and maintain infrastructure as code, reusable components and operational processes supporting automated CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery cycle on public cloud infrastructures (AWS and Azure) using modern tools and industry best practices to deliver secure, scalable, high availability and resilient enterprise solutions.
  • Leverage modern tools/utilities to continuously improve productivity, service quality/availability and security through optimal delivery orchestration, proactive monitoring, self-healing automation, and security best practices.
  • Lead/support incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution for infrastructure and application issues in a timely manner (including after hours and weekend as needed).
  • Participate in systems design and infrastructure reviews, develop and maintain architecture/technical documentation for enterprise solutions/cloud services, and create run books to ensure successful operationalization of these solutions/services.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in DevOps practices and related cloud technologies, and make appropriate recommendations that align with IT and Business strategy for the enterprise.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of Information Technology/software engineering experience in within a large enterprise with complex business and IT environment.
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps/SRE engineer with a proven track record of successfully delivery and hands-on experience in designing, implementing and optimizing secure, highly scalable and reliable enterprise solutions using infrastructure as code, reusable components and automated CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software delivery cycle on public cloud infrastructures (AWS and Azure).
  • Experience working in an agile delivery environment using tools such as Azure DevOps/Jira with extensive knowledge/expertise in software development, DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and best practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern programming/scripting languages (e.g., .NET, C#, JavaScript, Java, Python, Bash, Powershell).
  • Hands-on experience using modern tools for software configuration management/code repository (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitLab), CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps, Gitlab, Jenkins Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform), test automation (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright), code quality/security/static analysis (e.g., Azure DevOps Advanced Security, SONARQube), and monitoring and logging tools (e.g., AWS/Azure monitoring and observability services, Elasticsearch).
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux/Windows operating systems (performance tuning, file systems and I/O), and container-based technologies and orchestration systems (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Fluent and current on cloud operating standards and best practices, emerging technologies and industry/market trends that can be applied to solution design and implementation.
  • AWS and/or Azure Cloud Certification (Administrator/Security/DevOps/Networking/Architect).
  • Self-motivated professional team player with excellent problem-solving ability (analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations); a creative mindset; and superb interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (including the ability to communicate at various levels within an organization and to explain complex or technical matters in a manner suitable for a non-technical audience).
  • Prior experience in the financial services industry (e.g., banking, asset management, insurance, mortgage, consumer & business lending) and enterprise business/financial applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, banking, loan origination/servicing) preferred.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

  • Vision sufficient to read instructions, procedures, source documents, reports, files, and information on video display terminals.
  • Manual dexterity to write and operate a variety of office equipment, including a personal computer.
  • Ability to speak and hear to give and receive instructions and information to others in person and over the telephone. Other language skills helpful.
  • Body mobility to move to and from different work areas to access materials to perform the essential functions.
  • Ability to bend and stoop to reach files/shelves including the strength to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds, also to pull and push open file cabinet drawers. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Position may require working evenings, Saturdays, weekends, and early mornings.

The targeted hourly range is $55 per hour to $63 per hour. Final offer will be determined based on experience, education, training/certifications and specialized skills.
