Asphalt and Snow Removal Foreman

Rocky Mountain Asphalt, the premium asphalt maintenance, seal coating and snow removal company serving the Steamboat Springs, Colorado community, is seeking a full-time, year-round foreman. Candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of asphalt paving, sealing projects and snow removal. Applicants must have experience in these industries and running heavy equipment. The selected candidate will have proven success in managing crews, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, and completing projects within budgets and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Full-time, year-round commitment to manage and execute seasonal projects of asphalt maintenance and seal coating (April – November) and snow removal (November – April)
• Manage daily operations and crews for a high-volume asphalt maintenance, seal coating and snow removal company serving the Yampa Valley in and around Steamboat, Colorado
• Supervise and lead crew of 15+ employees
• Coordinate and oversee simultaneous jobs, organize crews, review schedules, delegate duties for crew members
• Work hands-on at project sites including:
  • Asphalt demo, excavation, final grade prep for paving and patching, sealing
  • Plowing commercial and residential lots, snow removal and hauling
•  Running job sites to ensure projects are on time, on budget + executed to a standard of excellence
• Schedule material deliveries
• Ensure equipment is used properly and safely
• Ensure employees are maintaining the highest level of safety
• Collaborate with the owner/founder and project managers to optimize project timelines and resources
• Manage quality control of all projects
• Train and mentor crew members
• Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders
• Commitment to working a full-time, year-round schedule
• Some asphalt and seal jobs will be scheduled on weekends
• Snow removal work is primarily done in the evenings/overnight, based on snowfall
• This position is on call. Candidate is expected to maintain daily communication with management (unless on approved vacation time)
• Submit time for each pay period by clocking in/out and submitting completed timecard

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in asphalt and snow removal industries
• Proven experience in a leadership or foreman role
• Ability to coordinate and manage projects efficiently
• Experience operating heavy equipment/machinery
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of operations

Additional Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check
• Current driver’s license
• Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends
• Bilingual candidates preferred but not required (English, Spanish)
• A or B CDL desired but not mandatory (RMA will reimburse you for any expenses accrued to obtain CDL)

Salary + Benefits:

• Base Salary of $98,000 - $110,000 annually
