Are you a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher looking to make a significant impact on the lives of students with autism? Join our team in Modesto, CA, as we seek to expand our Autism Program for the 2023-2024 school year. We are currently hiring for the following positions:
1. K-2 Autism Teachers (2 positions)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades K-2 with autism.
- Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students' academic, social, and behavioral growth.
- Collaborate with related service providers, parents, and school staff to create a comprehensive support system for each student.
2. 3-5 Autism Teacher (1 position)
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students in grades 3-5 with autism.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence in students.
- Work closely with the IEP team to set goals, track progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
3. Pre-formal Autism Teachers (2 positions)
- Applicants must possess Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units and have experience working with young learners on the autism spectrum.
- Create a nurturing and structured learning environment to support the early development of students with autism.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and families to address individual needs effectively.
Qualifications:
- A valid California teaching credential with Special Education authorization is required.
- For Pre-formal Autism Teachers, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Units are necessary.
- Experience or specialized training in working with students on the autism spectrum is preferred.
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and other evidence-based practices.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and tailor teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
