Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Location: Grantsboro, North Carolina

Are you looking to tie down a position for the uping school year now? We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced SLPA to join our team for a school-based position in Grantsboro, NC. The candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individual and group therapy to students with speech and language disorders.This position is for the remainder of the school year.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting speech and language assessments to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, language prehension, and munication skills
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for each student
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and treatment plans
  • Participate in meetings, trainings, and workshops to stay informed of the latest therapy techniques and best practices

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
  • Active North Carolina SLPA License required
  • Experience working with school-aged children with speech and language disorders preferred
  • Experience with a variety of treatment approaches and modalities, including AAC, PROMPT, and social munication interventions
  • Excellent munication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to maintain accurate and organized records, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
