Job Description

Cable Technician in NM

We are looking to fill 10 resources with data center in Los Lunas NM. Los Lunas is about 30 minutes south from Albuquerque. These individuals need to have cat 5 and 6 cabling experience, punch down and termination experience. Fiber optics is a plus. These individuals will be doing both inside and outside plant work around a construction site pulling low voltage wiring. They are working a project and they would like to have folks going 6 months to hire..

They just finished up their first data center and are starting on the next one. This will be a long term project to be a part of the growth and development of a major data center and future opportunity to potentially work for Facebook in the future.

Reciprocal Agreement


• New Mexico has reciprocal licensing agreements, for a journeyman certificate/license only, with the following states: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming.
• Applicants for a New Mexico journeyman reciprocal certificate/license are required to submit a completed State of New Mexico Application for Journeyman Certificate, the non-refundable application processing fee, and a copy of their qualifying certificate/license.
• Applicants must have obtained a journeyman electrician certificate of competency/license by passing a mandatory examination after completion of either a four-year apprenticeship program; or four years of equivalent experience as determined by the licensing state.
• Applicants must hold a journeyman electrician certificate/ license or higher classification from a participating state that is current, active, and in good standing.
• New Mexico electricians wishing to apply for a reciprocal certificate/license in a participating state must contact that state for specific requirements and fees.

External Communities Job Description

Client is looking for a cable technician that can run low voltage wiring and do termination and punch down. They are in construction phase right now and most of the work will be running the low voltage wiring. they may have to run some fiber as well.
