The director of the special education department will make availability to interview qualified candidates immediately. It is preferred candidates have prior experience and meet Alabama's requirements.

• Winfield AL 35594-the City of Winfield has served as the home to one of the top 10 school systems in Alabama
• 24-25 School Year
• Self- Contained Setting
• Grades 2, 3, 4
• 6-7 Students on caseload

Qualifications:

• The ALSDE requires teachers to have completed a bachelors degree and a teacher preparation program, which can be done concurrently at select institutions.
• All degrees and certificates earned must be from accredited institutions.
• The ALSDE grants several types of teaching licenses, including:
  • The Class B License, for candidates holding a bachelors degree in education or special education
  • The Class A License, for candidates with a masters degree in education or special education
  • The Class AA license, which requires that candidates complete a state-approved program with a minimum number of credit hours in teacher preparation coursework
