Accounts Receivable Specialist

Responsibilities include entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, and updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. What you get to do every single day

- Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

- Follow standard procedures to perform basic accounting tasks, such as general accounting

- Enter and balance financial data in a number of ledgers while reconciling bank accounts

- Validate documents and codes

- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

- Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

- Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders

- 2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

- Strong analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

- Proficient in ERP systems

- Proficiency in Aged Receivables

- Billing experience highly desired

- Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Knowledge of Aged Receivables

- Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
