Calling on Clinical Fellows and ASHA-Certified Speech-Language Pathologists who enjoy working in the rugged environment of the Upper Peninsula, MI! Soliant has partnered with several schools in the area of Ewen, MI and is seeking a travel SLP for the school year.
How does one qualify as a traveler?
- Will you be arranging temporary housing during the school year?
- Will you be muting 75+ miles to work?
If so, you qualify for housing and/or meals and incidentals stipends!
For schools-based Speech-Language Pathologists, duties include:
- pleting evaluations/reevaluations as required by federal and state laws.
- Assisting the multidisciplinary teamin determining student eligibility for speech services
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Providing appropriate therapy services to support students in their academic programs by:
- providing speech and language services to students using evidence-based practices;
- considering language and cultural differences of students for intervention;
- considering the augmentative and assistive technology needs of students;
- integrating school curriculum with speech/language therapy, as appropriate;
- serving students in the least restrictive environment (LRE) to the maximum extent appropriate
- consulting with teachers and special education staff
- providing information and assistance to parents/guardians;
- assisting in the coordination of services for students transitioning from one (1)-level of education to another (i.e., preschool to elementary, elementary to middle school, middle school to high school, and secondary to post-secondary sites).
- Conducting meetings and pleting reports as part of the referral or dismissal process for speech students
- Documenting services by means of therapy and observation notes, or testing data
We seek applicants with the following petencies:

- Good organization, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a manner consistent with department guidelines
- Flexibility and the ability to foster a collegial work environment
Requirements:
- SLP license from the Michigan Board of Speech-Language Pathology
