Position Summary

As a Tractor Driver you will be required to undergo training to skillfully operate tractors responsible for pulling trailers in tasks such as loading, supporting production lines, and various other farm activities. Adaptability is crucial, as individuals may be required to transition between different teams as needed, potentially within the same day. Proficiency in understanding the importance of efficient movement from one point to another is essential to minimize idle time. A strong commitment to safety is imperative throughout all operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate farm tractors to perform various tasks as assigned.

• Efficiently carry out tractor-related duties to contribute to overall farm productivity.

• Complete a daily startup equipment checklist to ensure proper functioning and address any issues promptly.

• Follow instructions provided by Managers and/or Team Leaders to execute tasks accurately and timely.

• Maintain clear and open communication with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

• Demonstrate a proactive approach and take direction effectively to meet operational goals.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in operating in farm tractors or similar heavy equipment is preferred.

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks to company standards.

• Must be dedicated to adhering to safety protocols and practices.

• Good communicator and work well across multiple departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in operating any outdoor equipment.

Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. The role demands the ability to work in various outdoor conditions, including exposure to dust, rain, cold weather, and allergens. Candidates should be comfortable operating equipment for extended periods, with a requirement for frequent sitting during equipment operation. Additionally, the position involves regular standing, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting to fulfill essential duties. A crucial aspect of the role is the frequent need to climb up and down from tractors and operate various machinery within the department and across the facility. Candidates should be at ease around mechanical equipment. Employee must have the ability to lift 35 pounds unaided, 50 pounds with assistance. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday; however, overtime and weekend work is required during peak seasons.
