Utility Worker

SUMMARY: Will ensure guest satisfaction by processing houseware items meet company standards and expectations. In addition, will assist in ensuring inventory is stocked and readily available for delivery

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: (Employee may perform any combination of the essential functions shown below. • Load and unload materials from company vehicles
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, racks and delivery trucks by hand or forklift
• Operate all warehouse equipment (washer, dryer, ironer, forklift, dish machine, leaf blower) in safe manner
• Operates manual and power tools
• Performs basic maintenance tasks
• Cleans and maintains a clean work area
• Clean and maintains exterior of warehouse at all times
• Follows safety procedures, operates equipment and performs job related duties in a safe manner
• Operates delivery vehicle in a safe and courteous manner. Determines if vehicle is safe to operate and has all of the necessary fluids (gasoline, oil, water, etc.) before loading the vehicle
• Occasionally performs delivery/pickup of miscellaneous Service Requests
• Occasionally performs Inspections (Pre-Move Out, Move Out, New Unit, Final and or Return). Resolves issues and/or communicates to Synergy Office defects beyond ability to correct
• May assist in training new hires
• Assist with field duties when needed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to use power and hand-held operated cleaning equipment
• Ability to follow and exchange verbal communication with customers, vendors and co-workers
• Ability to communicate via cell phone or hand-held devices
• Ability to recognize hazards and take measures to avoid and/or reconcile
• Ability to utilize GPS or read a map
• Ability to understand general mathematics
• Must report to work in a clean uniform approved and supplied by Synergy Corporate Housing
• Maintains a high level of professionalism, either working independently and/or within group setting
• Ability to work overtime or weekends when required on short notice at managers’ discretion

QUALIFICATIONS:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate with all levels of the organization). Ability to read, write, hear, and speak in English.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required

EXPERIENCE:

One to two years’ related field experience

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Driver's License and Proof of Insurance

Forklift License preferred not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
