Primary Responsibility:

As a Material Handler you play a pivotal role in product storage and material supply to meet production goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Materials Management: Safely move and store products in designated areas.

  • Machine Support: Supply materials to various production machines, including gluers and bundle machines.

  • Adherence to Procedures: Follow all instructions, reporting any issues that may impact production.

  • Flexibility: May work in other positions or departments as needed.

  • Innovative Mindset: Adapt to and follow new procedures and innovations that enhance operational efficiency and safety.

  • Workplace Cleanliness: Maintain a clean work environment, including machines, floors, desks, and fans, following the 5S system.

  • Downtime Utilization: Make productive use of machine downtime (excluding approved breaks) by performing tasks associated with maintaining a clean work environment or as instructed by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills and software proficiency are a plus.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand documents, communicate clearly in English, and follow instructions.

  • Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in arithmetic, including fractions and decimals, ability to solve equations, read a tape measure, and understand both standard and metric measuring systems.

  • Certifications: Must become a Certified Forklift Operator following SCT training and carry a copy of your certification.

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to walk, stand, use hands, reach, and lift/move 25 to 50 pounds. Must perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours with required breaks. Specific vision abilities are needed, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Commitment and Availability:

Regular attendance and punctuality are fundamental requirements. You must also be available for overtime work when necessary.
