Reports to: Director of Operations (i.e., General Manager) Salary Status: Salaried / Exempt

Summary/Objective: Accomplishes creation and maintenance of detailed project integrated master schedule and associated reports in support of both contracted and in-housework.

Top 3 job expectations:

  • Create and maintain schedules and associated reports as per NAVSEA Standard Item 009-60 and/or 009-111.
  • Provide support to Estimating Department in the development of schedules for solicited work.
  • Provide support to Purchasing Department in support of providing schedules to suppliers.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Produce, monitor, and evaluate project schedules and associated reports in line with contract requirements and company procedures.
  • Communication necessary information to project teams to ensure timely delivery of requirements
  • Draft and submit weekly progress reports on the status of each activity concerning the overall project completion schedule.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work by applying the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity.
  • Monitor the project's progress, including identifying critical activities and issues that need priority attention
  • Keep up with the project risk register to effectively minimize their impacts on achieving the completion date.
  • Track performance of created contingency plans if necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Operations/GM

Education / Experience Required:

  • Documented training in use of MS Project or equivalent scheduling software.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize standard office software including MS word, Excel, etc.
  • Must be U.S. Person (as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations ("ITAR," 22 CFR 120-130)
  • Fluency in Spanish as a spoken language highly preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requires 40+ hours of work per week. M-F 0600 - 1430 (or as otherwise assigned by General Manager) with pre-scheduled overtime as needed.

Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment and shipyard work environment.

Travel: This position does require ability to travel.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be available to work at heights, confined spaces and have ability to climb staircases and ladders of varying sizes. May involve carrying objects that weigh up to 50 lbs., frequent stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, and walking.

  • Completion of a satisfactory background check
  • Passing a drug test and physical examination
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
  • Obtaining DBIDS level security clearance.
  • OSHA 10 Maritime
