Overview
Mortys Tap & Grille is currently hiring part time bartender positions.

Mortys Tap & Grille is your locally owned neighborhood restaurant. We want to be the go-to place for great food and great service whether you live on Spokanes south side or not.

Our Staff provides exceptional service to all ages; from kids to seniors and everyone in-between. The team knows how to work together. They are fun and unique individuals. They take pride in what they do, from the front of the house to the back of the house.

Mortys features breakfast, lunch and dinner. We take pride in the food and beverages we serve, the service we provide and the atmosphere we create.

Wage
  • Pay range for position: $16.28 to $16.28 per hour
  • Earn tips
Responsibilities/Duties
  • Follow all policies and procedures
  • On time and attend all meetings
  • Take orders and payments from customers for food and beverages following all steps of service guidelines
  • Upsell by being proactive with suggestive selling and alerting customers to specials, promotional items and/or events
  • Deliver and announce food and drinks to guests with efficiency, accuracy, and enthusiasm
  • Accommodate and fulfill any special requests for guests
  • Communicate and work with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are delivered timely and according to Morty's Tap & Grille standards
  • Correct any issues courteously and quickly
  • Check with customers throughout their meal to ensure that they are enjoying their visit and take action to correct any problems
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all food and drink menu items, promotions, ingredients, and prep time
  • Assist team members with any additional tasks as needed
  • Complete all assigned opening, running, closing duties and side work
  • Follow all health and alcohol beverage service standards and maintain a clean workspace
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation and safety guidelines

Skills/Experience
  • Washington State Food Worker Card (WSFWC)
  • Washington State MAST/Class 12 or 13
  • One (1) year previous restaurant service experience preferred
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and weekends
  • Ability to effectively listen to and respond to customer needs
  • Strong work ethic, reliable, aware of the details
  • Ability to multitask efficiently
  • Team player with a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
