Weekend Sanitation Supervisor

Dessert Holdings is looking for a Weekend Sanitation Supervisor to join our team based in Kennesaw, GA.

Schedule: Thursday 6am-6pm, Friday 6am-6pm, and Saturday 6am-6pm

Pay rate: $18.00 + $1 shift differential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow and ensure safety protocols are followed by all weekend employees. (No exceptions)
  • Must be punctual.
  • Assist Sanitation Manager with Supervising and leading the weekend sanitation crew.
  • Train new and existing employees on SSOP’s and SOP’s.
  • Inspects equipment after cleaning to ensure it meet’s company standards.
  • Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Oversees weekend crew when Sanitation Manager is not present.
  • Ensures paperwork is filled out correctly and report incidents in at a timely manner.
  • Operates and trains on machines needing CIP/COP.
  • Knowledge of chemical dilutions, concentration and spill cleaning procedures.
  • Follows and ensures that PPE procedures are met.
  • Knowledge of color-coding procedures.
  • Assists Quality Control in preparations for swabbing.
  • Flexible to other duties and possible schedules as assigned by Sanitation Manager.
  • Must be fair and impartial when rewarding or conducting disciplinary actions.
  • Open minded to learning critics.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Must be able to work safely with products containing allergens (wheat, dairy, eggs and a variety of tree nuts).
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Must have some knowledge of how to use a computer.
  • Leading people in the past.
  • Ability to assess situations and problem solving.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of the seven steps of sanitation and/or cleaning in food plants.
  • Knowledge of the 5S methodology.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee must regularly move up to 100 pounds. May require pushing with assistance or pulling with or without assistance.
  • Work positions include walking, standing, climbing, and walking fast during an emergency.
  • Must be able to work in hot or cold rooms and rinse equipment using hot or cold water.
  • Observation of worker’s activities without micromanaging.
