Dental Treatment Planning Coordinator/Biller/Front Desk

As a Dental Treatment Coordinator, you will serve as a pivotal link between dental professionals and patients, ensuring a seamless and positive experience throughout their treatment journey. Your role will involve comprehensive coordination of treatment plans, financial arrangements, and patient communication to facilitate optimal oral health outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Patient Consultation and Education: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their dental needs, concerns, and treatment objectives. Educate patients about recommended procedures, treatment options, and anticipated outcomes, using clear and accessible language.
  2. Treatment Planning: Collaborate with dentists and specialists to develop personalized treatment plans aligned with patients' oral health goals and financial considerations. Present treatment proposals to patients, explaining procedures, associated costs, and potential insurance coverage.
  3. Financial Coordination: Assist patients in understanding their treatment costs, insurance benefits, and out-of-pocket expenses. Provide transparent financial guidance and explore financing options to help patients make informed decisions about their dental care.
  4. Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate treatment appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits based on patients' schedules and treatment timelines. Maintain an organized schedule to optimize clinic efficiency and accommodate urgent care needs.
  5. Insurance Coordination: Verify patients' insurance coverage, submit claims, and communicate with insurance providers to facilitate timely reimbursement. Advocate for patients' insurance benefits and resolve any billing or coverage-related inquiries.
  6. Patient Communication: Serve as a reliable point of contact for patients, addressing their questions, concerns, and scheduling preferences with empathy and professionalism. Maintain open lines of communication to ensure patients feel supported and informed throughout their treatment process.
  7. Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of treatment plans, financial transactions, and patient communications using electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and clinic policies regarding data confidentiality.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience submitting insurance claims, working on claims, following up on claims, submitting appeals, collecting unpaid claims, working on aging report.
  • Previous experience in dental office administration, treatment coordination, or customer service roles is advantageous.
  • Experience with DentaQuest, MCNA, CHIP, adult medicaid and medicare.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach to patient care.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, particularly in managing treatment plans and financial records.
  • Proficiency in dental software applications (e.g., Open Dental) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, treatment procedures, and insurance billing processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.
