Canine Daycare Attendant

Are you an animal care professional looking for growth and opportunity? Coyne Veterinary Center is seeking a dedicated, motivated and energetic Canine Daycare Attendant to join our team!

We are a full-service state-of-the-art animal hospital located in Crown Point, IN. Each one of our employees are chosen based on their compassion, skills and in-depth veterinary knowledge. We strive to create a nurturing, educational, and fun environment for all employees, clients, and animals who enter our doors.

Job Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Supervise large groups of pets

• Proper animal restraint

• Assist in cleaning, stocking and maintenance of hospital and equipment

• Maintain proper animal environment by cleaning kennels and providing fresh bedding and water at all times

• Prepare and distribute prescribed diets

• Assist doctors and technicians as needed

• Client Service

• Client education

• Medication preparation and administration

• Assist grooming staff with bathing and handling

Requirements:

• Love and compassion for animals

• Positive attitude

• Minimum of 1yr animal handling experience preferred, but will train the right individual

• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment

• Detail-oriented, outgoing, reliable and honest

• Client service experience

• Able to meet the demands of a physically and mentally challenging job

• Weekend, evening and holiday availability

Physical Obligations:

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Endure standing and walking on hard floor surfaces for extended periods of time

• Able to work in noisy work conditions with sounds from animals and equipment
