Our Seattle Fulfillment Center (SFC) is located in the heart of the Ikea Commercial District where we have 200,000 square feet of state of the art production and inventory. Warehouse Management Systems Specialist

Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the WMS Tech Admin is to support and manage the Company’s warehouse management systems (Manhattan WMi & Infor WMS) at the Seattle Fulfillment Center (SFC) located in Renton, Washington, and remotely supports the Fulfillment Center in Toronto, Canada (TFC). The position also collaborates with others in the IT organization to support and administer various other software applications used throughout the SFC that interface with the warehouse management system. Being on site in SFC in Renton, is a requirement, with some opportunity to work remotely as duties allow.

The Company will be migrating from Manhattan WMi to Infor WMS during 2024-2025. This role will be pivotal to the success of that critical system project.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the warehouse management system including:
    1. Understand and analyze business processes and work with users on how to best utilize the systems.
    2. Troubleshoot system issues, interface with vendor support to resolve issues.
    3. System configuration.
    4. Master data maintenance.
    5. Create new queries and reports as required by the business.
    6. Manage the interfaces between the warehouse management system, the SAP ERP system, and other systems that connect to the WMS.
    7. Perform periodic maintenance and monitoring on the WMS server (IBM AS400 platform transitioning to Infor WMS Cloudsuite) on which the warehouse management system runs.
  • Collaborate with team members in the IT organization and SFC operations to support other SFC software systems including Embtrak, Wilcom and Delta for value added services. Previous experience with those systems is not required.
  • Along with IT Helpdesk team, provide secondary general IT user support at the facility as needed.
  • Must have or be willing & able to obtain a valid US Passport in order to travel to international locations, including TFC in Canada.

Knowledge, Skills, Experiences and Abilities:

  • Experience supporting a warehouse management system for a large Fulfillment Center. Recent experience with the Manhattan WMi system is preferred to ensure coming up to speed quickly in the role, and Infor WMS for quickly transitioning to the new system.
  • Experience as a business analyst working with directly with users on process matters and deriving and deploying solutions.
  • Experience interfacing directly with software vendors to efficiently resolve issues.
  • Experience with SQL preferred.
  • Experience administering an IBM AS400 (aka iSeries) server environment nice to have.
  • Experience with WMS system implementations preferred.
  • Able to effectively balance project work with daily maintenance and user support.
  • Organized and process oriented. Diligent with documentation.
  • Able to take a structured and thorough approach to troubleshooting, analysis, testing and deployment.
  • Able to effectively interface and communicate with all levels of users, management and vendors.
  • Must be a team player with a desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Must have a helpful attitude for effective user support.

Education and Prior Work Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field required. A mix of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
  • A minimum of five years of recent prior relevant work experience.

Worksite expectations:

  • Reasonable proximity to Renton, Washington is required for mainly onsite work.
  • On site is a professional office environment as our Headquarters and a warehouse environment; business-casual dress.
