We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our team in a remote patient monitoring role, providing exceptional care to patients with diabetes. As a Remote Patient Monitoring Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive and personalized diabetes care.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare professionals remotely in providing direct patient care to individuals diagnosed with diabetes.
  • Virtually perform routine clinical tasks, including collecting patient history, and documenting patient information accurately in electronic health records.
  • Previous experience working with patients on Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) preferred.
  • Educate patients about diabetes management, including medication administration, blood sugar monitoring, healthy eating habits, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, helping them navigate the challenges of living with type 2 diabetes.
  • Schedule appointments, organize medical records, and ensure efficient communication and flow between patient and healthcare provider.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in diabetes management and treatment to provide informed assistance to patients and the healthcare team.
  • Adhere to all privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Prior experience working with patients with type 2 diabetes is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a remote patient monitoring setting or virtual work environment a huge plus.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records and basic medical software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help patients manage their diabetes effectively.
