JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIIREMENTS:

  • Prepares journal entries in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepares month-end accruals for assigned departments, factoring in accounts payable activity, experience averages, and calculated estimates.
  • Assists in preparing inter-company billing sheets and documentation.
  • Provides support to horse racing regulatory agencies, including processing on-site transactions.
  • Takes ownership of live racing season bookkeeping.
  • Assists in analyzing manual cost transfers and inventory valuation.
  • Provides documentation for internal and external audit requests.
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • One(1) to Two(2) years of related accounting experience.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to obtain and keep a License issued by the Maryland State Lottery Agency required of all Gaming Establishment employees.
