Cold Storage Forklift Operator

• Operate sit down forklift to unload, load, and move material, packed product, and other goods
• Perform pre and post forklift inspections; report any repairs necessary
• Lift and stack material and product as needed
• Maintain work area clean and free of any fruit on the floor, leaves, or debris

Education and Experience

• Previous forklift experience required; preferably experience loading and unloading 3-tier racks
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Skills

• Ability to lift 40+ lbs consistently throughout the day
• Ability to work evenings, nights and weekends in a cold storage environment
• Excellent coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily sitting

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to a typical fast-paced production environment —high industrial and agricultural equipment traffic, extreme temperatures in an environment exposed to dust, peach fuzz and other natural elements.
