We are currently searching for a talented Design Technician to join and grow with our Highway Design team!

SEH's Highway Design Team keeps their eyes and minds on the road – their solutions impact how we travel across our highways and roadways. You will be part of an award-winning team which designs innovative solutions for traffic and corridor enhancements, and bridge and interchange designs using the latest technology. From the initial stages of the project of surveying and right-a-away acquisition to stakeholder engagement through complex design, environmental work and construction – you’ll find yourself immersed in life-lasting projects that get us where we need to go safely and efficiently

Essential Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Some knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and at construction sites.
• Capable of lifting and carrying heavy equipment and materials.
• Strong stamina and the ability to work in physically demanding conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous training and/or experience with bridge inspection or construction observation.
• Experience in preparing bridge plans and quantities
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
