Job Summary:

Hydrafab, a Singer Industrial company, is looking for a Welder-Fabricator. Hydrafab’s Welder/Fabricator will design, cut and shape metal. Welder/Fabricators often perform work with minimal supervision so the Welder Fabricator must be comfortable working independently in a factory setting. A successful candidate enjoys working with their hands and has an analytical mind. They will need to meet the physical demands of the job and have an eye for detail.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze diagrams and specifications and cut metal accordingly with help of oxy/acetylene or plasma torch.
  • Set up and operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting equipment.
  • Evaluate finished products and perform quality checks on product.
  • Assemble old units and perform modification and repair work if required.
  • Receive repair jobs from customers, following Hydrafab’s work instruction.
  • Process Improvement
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Perform welding work with help of forming and cutting equipment, and various hand and power tools.
  • Aid production process and mold various fixtures.
  • Perform repair to damaged alloy articles and prepare new articles with help of welding machines.
  • Be a team player.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Previous experience as a Welder Fabricator
  • Ability to use variety of tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications.
  • Knowledge of industry safety practices
  • Knowledge of specific welding processes, such as TIG, MIG and ARC
  • Ability to use heavy machinery, such as forklifts and cranes.

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate (required)
  • College Diploma preferred.
  • Certified Welding Certificate preferred.

Physical Requirements:

A Welder/Fabricator has a working condition that is normal for a repair and manufacturing environment. The work involves lifting materials and using machinery tools. He/she operates equipment and requires the use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protectors, dust mask, and work boots.
