About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Shell Lake, WI. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of manufacturing excellence within the automotive industry. As a key player in our engineering team, you will leverage your expertise to enhance manufacturing processes, implement lean principles, and drive continuous improvement across all operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity using lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods. Manage the design and optimization of plant layouts, production lines, and machine operations.
  • Safety and Quality Leadership: Foster a culture of safety and quality, implementing initiatives that aim to achieve zero safety risks. Develop and oversee quality control standards to ensure product integrity throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Engineering Excellence: Utilize CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, for fixture design, tooling, and plant design. Contribute to product development by providing manufacturing insights and ensuring operational feasibility.
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve operational challenges using a methodical and technical approach. Support product development through prototyping, testing, and feedback.
  • Programming and Technology: Program machinery and implement software solutions (e.g., TruTops, Stream, SolidWorks) to enhance manufacturing processes. Drive innovation in automation and assembly processes.


Skills & Experience

  • Practical Expertise: Hands-on experience with fabrication (turret, fiber laser, brake press), powder coating, and assembly processes. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Strong understanding and application of Lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations.
  • Safety Conscious: Knowledge of safety and health practices in manufacturing environments, with a focus on ergonomic impacts and safety compliance.
  • Teamwork & Innovation: Ability to work collaboratively across departments, fostering a culture of respect, continuous improvement, and innovation. Proactive, tech-savvy, and creative problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field. Mid-senior level experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing engineering role.
