Full-Time Public Space Attendant

Delta Hotels by Marriott is looking for a full-time Janitor/Shuttle Driver. We are looking for morning and evenings shifts. This position escorts arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations, transporting their luggage. This position is also responsible for cleaning the public spaces, including public restrooms.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Greet guests with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Grasp, lift, carry and/or load luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout the hotel to designated room. Navigate bell cart through public areas, guest room corridors and to elevators.
• Requires physical stamina to stand, lift, carry and walk continuously for duration of shift.
• Delivers items such as towels, blankets, rollways to guest rooms.
• Ensuring the public spaces are clean at all times. This includes lobby area, hallways, stairwells windows, fitness center and public restrooms.
• Communicate consistently with the front desk for everyday tasks.
• Shuttle guests to and from the airport.

HOURS AND ATTENDANCE

• Up to 40 hours per week with varied and flexible shifts/days and may include weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

• Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages, boxes and luggage up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling and walking significant distances on property.
• Requires high levels of contact with all types of people.
• Maintain vehicle mileage log at the beginning and end of each trip, indicating mileage, time, name and date.
• Ensure that vehicle has at least half tank of gasoline always.
• Exterior cleaning inclusive of all windows, walls and door jams a minimum of once per week, or as needed.
• Interior cleaning: pick up loose debris from floor. Daily vacuuming of interior rugs, clean windows keeping them free of fingerprints, wipe seats, seat ledges and other surface areas as needed. Clean any other interior area that would be unsightly to guests.
• Only the driver should load/unload luggage from the vehicle.
• Knows all safety and vehicle regulations and emergency procedures and hot to act upon them.
• Reports all accidents and traffic violations immediately to management/police.
• All other duties as assigned.

Must have a clean driving record.
