Family & Children's Place of Louisville, KY, is looking to hire a Supervisor for the HANDS program to supervise staff that provides family services to expectant parents or parents of newborns. This supervisory position earns a competitive wage of $25.76/hour or more depending on experience. A retention bonus of $100 after 90 days and $200 at one year. If you have language skills, such as Spanish, you receive a language quarterly stipend of $500 as well. ABOUT HANDS

The Kentucky Health Access Nurturing Development Services (HANDS) program is a voluntary home visitation program for any new or expectant parents. HANDS supports families as they build healthy, safe environments for the optimal growth and development of children. The main goals of HANDS is to ensure healthy pregnancies and births, child growth and development, safe homes, and self sufficient families.

HANDS supports families throughout their pregnancy and the first two years of the baby's life. Families meet with a HANDS professional assessment home visitor who can answer questions and address concerns about pregnancy or baby's first years. All families receive information and learn about resources available in the community for new parents. Some families receive further support through home visitation.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HANDS SUPERVISOR

The HANDS Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the HANDS Program services for the assigned team. The scope is inclusive of program planning, service delivery, day-to-day coordination of activities, staff training, ongoing supervision, and monitoring and evaluation of projects. Will also be responsible for providing direct services for a family caseload. The direct service caseload will decrease as the team is built. In all responsibilities, will support the agency's equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts as well as our trauma-informed services and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A HANDS SUPERVISOR

  • Bachelor's degree in social work and licensed with LSW plus 2 years of casework with families and children or
  • Master's degree in social work with licenses such as CSW or LCSW or an RN and 3 - 5 years of casework with families and children.
  • Ability to pass a background check as well as a child abuse and neglect check upon hire
  • Willingness to take a drug test, TB screening, and fingerprint screening upon hire
  • Full COVID vaccination plus booster is required
