Lifetime Products Inc., is seeking Forklift Operator Production Support's to join our team in Mascot (Knoxville) Tennessee.

Forklift operators will load and unload trailers, support the production lines, keep an accurate account of inventory and do a daily quick inspection on the equipment they will be using for the day.

Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills, as well as a good attitude regarding team work and working well with all team members.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Operates forklift and pallet jacks to move materials to proper departments or areas.
  • Wears the proper safety equipment - as required in production and shipping areas.
  • Ability to have a good attitude while working in a team environment and be dependable.
  • Reads plastics daily schedule to determine materials needed for production to complete production orders.
  • Move materials and items from production or storage areas to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Counts materials in stock and reports counts to lead, supervisor, or inventory specialist, to post inventory records.
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times. Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe.
  • Mark Materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
  • There will be times overtime hours will be required to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Use RF scanners to research and transfer inventory.
  • Perform any other task as directed by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 6 months forklift experience in a manufacturing facility preferred. With experience in inventory rack stacking and bin locations.
  • Valid Tennessee driver's license is required and will be required to become forklift certified.
  • Clean MVR is required.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Overtime and some Saturdays will be required, as well as on call availability will be required.
