Painter

McCLARIN Composites is currently seeking a 2nd shift, full-time, experienced Painter to join our team at our Hanover, PA location.

At McCLARIN, we manufacture composites essential to next generation buses, trucks, trains, RVs, and construction, mining, and farm equipment. These end-use platforms enhance experience and improve the footprint to drive, ride, construct, farm and enjoy nature. Through collaboration, we create processes and products that contribute to a decarbonized and circular economy.

POSITION SUMMARY

Prepares and applies paint coatings to products according to customer specifications. Also trains new Painters and provides leadership for their department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Mixes paints to match customer color specifications.
• Applies various pigmented coatings to products in specialized paint booths with precision and attention to detail.
• Cleans and maintains HVLP paint system.
• Maintains paint booth including filters and dirt traps.
• Stages materials required for coating process.
• Cleans and maintains respirators.
• Handles and disposes of hazardous waste in accordance with all environmental laws and OSHA regulations.
• Trains new Painters, providing feedback to the trainee and plant manager regarding performance.
• Provides direction for Paint team members, assisting the production supervisor/manager as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma/GED preferred or equivalent industrial experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Painter - Level I role.
• Experience in auto-body painting, powder coating or other HVLP application systems preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
