Summary:

Manage Marketing team to insure effective functionality and coordination of all Marketing Department efforts. Develop and execute strategies for new products or technologies, identify product categories to develop or acquire, and manage existing products through lifecycle processes. Help identify and incorporate new technologies and packaging solutions into product assortments. Support creation of digital and print campaigns for all products. Conduct research on selling impact factors such as cost-to-acquire/produce, sell-price viability, marketplace competition, customer needs, and final product performance characteristics. Develop, create, and publish new product launch packets - including competitive positioning, design, trademark registrations, and compliance reviews. Support/create dispensing of marketing materials to Sales Managers, Sales Administration, and Factory Sales Representatives. Assist in the organization and communication of packaging transitions.

Primary Duties:

  • Lead Marketing efforts through product development responsibilities including, but not limited to, formula and testing collaboration with R&D, competitive analysis, positioning, packaging options and collaboration with Supply Chain, artwork development, copywriting, pricing collaboration with Sales, identification and management of timelines, sales tools, regulatory needs, product knowledge training, internal and external communication of programs/products.
  • Lead specified packaging transition efforts. For example: Product or packaging failures/formula revisions/discontinues/excess inventory/fire sale evaluations/strategic evaluations. This would involve running sales and inventory reports, customers, sales volume analysis, future demand needs, inventory evaluation, providing decision makers with pertinent data, communicating go-forward plans, progress tracking and updates.
  • Identify new product category opportunities or markets. Research and identify positioning strategies to communicate on-package messaging to potential retail/industrial customers.
  • Source and compile pertinent data from market research reports and compile data into a presentable format for use in analysis and sales presentations.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing team with disciplined international product expansion.
  • Support tradeshow management responsibilities including, but not limited to, determining themes/needs for booth, acquiring project examples, products, shipping requirements, reservations, signs, advertising, booth layout/services/furniture and Sales Manager communications.
  • Establish KPI’s for team performance, achievement of product goals, and overall support effectiveness for sales results.
  • Establish and maintain sound working relationships across all support departments to maximize company-wide buy-in and support for successful product lifespan and contribution performance.

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Oversight for consumer testing, packaging label translations and regulatory verification approvals.
  • Provide feedback/support on Social Media activities.
  • Assist President with the development of market data sales materials.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year institution in Marketing or a Marketing related field of study preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar business environment and/or training that provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities. Business Administration, Finance, and Economics experience also desired.
  • Ability to create, drive, and execute product strategies and strategic vision.
  • Expertise in product management and product development life cycles.
  • Experience in product strategy development and road mapping tools.
  • Critical thinking and Collaboration skills.
  • Leadership and ownership skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and meeting leadership.

Other:

  • Some travel required.
  • Office at Corporate Eugene location
