Morning Bakery/Kitchen Support at Moonraker Millhouse

Millhouse by Moonraker Brewing Co. is looking for morning Baker & Prep Cook to join our growing team!

We are searching for attentive, ambitious, and engaged individuals to support a high volume restaurant and cafe program. The right candidates will help to execute our taproom and cafe menu, as well as specials and catering programs. You will be accountable to the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef. Additionally, you will work closely with our Beertenders & Baristas on front of house (FOH) collaboration and success. You must present yourself in a neat, clean, and professional manner. This includes clean uniform and exceptional personal hygiene standards.

Located at 3501 Robin Lane, Cameron Park, CA 95682, this fully appointed, brand new kitchen is a chef’s dream! The kitchen features a state of the art pizza oven, open floor plan, and great views of our 9000 sq. ft. beer garden. It is important to us that our team enjoys coming to work every day, and is proud to serve our community. This will be a clean, safe, and welcoming environment with positive attitudes all around.

Responsibilities

• Proper food safety handling and sanitation practices
• Maintain cleanliness of back of house (BOH)
• Daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedule; including deep cleaning protocol
• Specified preparation of all menu items and cooking skills, which include quality as well as timeliness
• Prepare dishes to customer preferences
• Set up a stock station(s) with all necessary supplies
• Chop vegetables, prepare sauces, and other food preparation
• Adhere to a weekly schedule
• Possibly engage directly with the public and customers; applicable to daily service and special events
• Inventory management and stock rotation
• Food preparation and portioning
• Dish management and proper cleaning

Qualifications

• Must have California Food Handler certification
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Hardworking & passionate about producing great food
• Willingness to learn and grow as a team member
• Proper and safe handling of kitchen equipment
• Ability to follow menus and recipes
• Proper weighing, measuring, and knowledge of ingredients
• Comfortable working and communicating under pressure
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (3-8 hours)
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs at a time
• Previous kitchen/prep/cook experience is a plus
• Experience with pizza and dough prep is a plus
• Knowledge and/or passion for the brewing industry is also a plus!

The starting pay for this position is $19/hour. Tip share averages an additional $3/hour. We are hiring for full time and part time positions. Benefits are available for full time employees.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $19.00 - $22.00/hour.
