Soaring Eagles Home Care is seeking Direct Care Workers (DCW)/Personal Care Attendants (PCA) throughout Arizona and through our Phoenix, San Carlos, and Winslow offices. We pay attractive compensation (hourly rates) that are among the highest in our industry and competitive peer group and provide flexible employment options.

DCWs support the elderly or people with disabilities with their activities of daily living. A DCW helps the client remain living in their own homes and remain independent in their communities. If you are a compassionate, positive person looking for fulfillment and satisfaction in the impact you can make with your job, then this job is for you! A good candidate will be polite and a good communicator. Experience in housekeeping tasks, independent living services and caring for the elderly or individuals with disabilities will make you a strong candidate, but is not required, as we provide adequate training and support.

Compensation: Hourly, dependent on experience. $250 sign on bonus (payable after 90 days) and initial training is paid

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with individuals who have disabilities
  • Assist clients with identifying and implementing skills needed to promote independence
  • Participate in initial training (paid) and maintain continuing education requirements each year
  • Able to pass a state background study
  • Maintain reliable vehicle & valid car insurance or maintain other reliable transportation to work
  • Maintain a cell phone

Job Duties, include:

  • Ensuring clients receive their medication on time
  • Support clients who cannot move on their own
  • Help clients dress, bathe, eat, etc
  • Assist clients with range of movement exercises
  • Cook meals according to the client’s restrictions and/or preference
  • Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment
  • Help clients with their shopping
  • Provide emotional and cognitive support
  • Inform physicians or supervisors about uncommon events and observe, document and report concerns to supervisor
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Accompany clients to/from their medical appointments and provide non-medical transportation
