Job Summary

We are a barbershop catering primarily to adult and young men. We are seeking a talented Barber to join our team, providing customers with flawless styles to help them look their best! As a Barber, you use basic and advanced techniques to provide haircuts, beard trims and hot shaves and other barber services. Youll discuss the best products and hairstyles for each individual clients needs and preferences. Most importantly, you will make it your goal to ensure that every customer leaves our barbershop feeling great about their new cut and happy with the services you provided as part of our TEAM.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet clients in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phones and schedule client appointments
• Process client payments
• Evaluate customers face shape, hair features, and personal preferences to recommend a variety appropriate haircuts, and hairstyles.
• Recommend and perform add on services, such as Bread Trims, Neck Shave, Hot Shave, Shampoos, or Hair Color (if offered) etc.
• Recommend and sell hair products appropriate for clients needs.
• Maintain barbershop and state board sanitation health and safety standards including sweeping, cleaning and disinfecting shop and workstation and washing/drying folding towels
• Open and close the barber shop in accordance with established procedures
• May coordinate with the Manager to order products and supplies and/or other light administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• MUST be able to proficiently cut men's hair
• MUST be skilled with hot shaves and beard trims
• Successful completion of a cosmetology or barber school is required
• Proven experience as a stylist, or barber (model interview will be required)
• Experience with hair color and facials
• Up-to-date with classic and modern hairstyles and beard trimming trends
• Resolves customer complaints and handles customer refunds or returns tactfully and efficiently
• Interacts with customers and coworkers in a patient, friendly and professional manner

Barber Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• State cosmetology / barbers license.
• In-depth knowledge of hair cutting techniques with scissors, clippers, edgers, foil shaver, safety and straight razor
• The ability to follow instructions.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
