Job Description
The Estimator is central to maximizing productivity, sales and efficiency. The Estimator’s primary responsibilities can be grouped into the following categories:
• Meet the customer’s needs and close the sale
• Write a complete and accurate estimate
• Track the job through the repair
Accountability & Responsibility of Position
Sales and Customer Service
• Assist in greeting the customer and identifying and addressing their individual needs for an exceptional customer experience
• Determine the drop date and target delivery date
• Confirm customer contact, marketing information and special concerns and enter in the management system
• Ensure all work is consistent with current company labor rates
Participate in the Repair Plan
• Photos
• Repair Analysis
• Profit-match parts as applicable
• Order supplemental parts as required
• Upload supplement as necessary to the insurance company
Track the Job Through The Repair
• Identify and capture any additional parts that may be needed
• Keep the RO paperwork and estimate up to date with all supplemental items
• Assist in Quality Control checks throughout the repair
• Maintain strong relationships with all insurance adjusters
General
• The Estimator must possess a positive attitude with fellow team members, vendors, customers, and insurance company representatives and portray a professional business image.
• Participate in daily release meetings in order to provide key information to team members
• Adopt work habits that are in accordance with the company employee policy manual
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in which to work that reflects the excellent working conditions of the company
• Assist the Production Manager with any and all requested tasks
• Extend working hours as necessary to accommodate workload
• Participate in weekly and monthly company meetings as requested
• Be willing to attend any and all training programs to enhance performance both personally and professionally
• Be willing to travel as required for training and other company programs
