As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the quality of machined and fabricated parts for a busy metal fabrication shop.  This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that, with good attendance and a great work ethic, can lead to a long and rewarding career with numerous opportunities for advancement.
 
Your New Role:

  • Plan, develop, practice and administer Quality policies, procedures and programs to ensure compliance to the ISO 9001 standard, customer specifications, and customer satisfaction
  • Assist production department leads in the development of operators capable of ensuring part quality requirements during production
  • Make final decisions over quality issues and discrepancies at the plant level
  • Supervise the training and development of quality technicians

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum 5 years in a Quality Engineering/Technician discipline with supervisory experience
  • Be familiar with accessing, controlling and using the QMS master list of quality documents
  • Be able to develop standards, work instructions, and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluating products and processes
  • Computer Skills:  CAD, Microsoft Office, SPC-based software and Excel
  • Proficient in GD&T and reading blueprints
  • Knowledgeable of SPC, and PPAP submissions including FMEA, GAGE R&R, and Control Plan creation
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes including stamping, laser, CNC punch, press brake and welding
