The senior accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and other general accounting functions. The responsibilities include but not limited to:

Accounting

• Onboarding new accounting clients and working with existing clients
• Review monthly account reconciliations and expense categorizations
• Review/prepare journal entries
• Review/prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Perform other duties as may be requested

Tax

• Review/Prepare business, and individual tax returns
• Research, resolve, and respond to tax notices
• Research and document tax positions
• Perform other duties as may be requested

• 3-4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• QuickBooks Online Certified
• Experience with Proconnect
• Must be proficient with Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and exercise independent/sound judgment
• Must be personable and comfortable communicating with business owners

Experience level:

• 3-4 years working in a small accounting firm

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred

Experience:

• QuickBooks Online: 3 years (Required)
• Professional Accounting: 3 years (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Destin/Ft Walton, FL: Relocate before starting work (Required)
