Sales Associate

We are seeking a Sales Associate with great retail and service skills. Working at your locally owned Wild Birds Unlimited store is an opportunity to support and educate our friendly customers about birds and nature.

We provide training with regard to backyard bird feeding, bird watching and product knowledge.

The part-time position (16-28 hours) of Sales Associate reports to the franchise owner or manager. The primary responsibility of a Sales Associate is to provide a high-energy customer experience.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Valid driver's license
• Background check
• Drug screening
• Speaks English
• Reads English
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
• Available to work: weekends

Preferred qualifications:

• 1+ year of experience in the retail industry
• 19 years or older
• At least associate's degree or higher
• Retail skills: point of sale (POS) operation
• Retail skills: customer service
• Retail skills: handling returns
• Retail skills: addressing customer complaints
• Retail skills: restocking
• Retail skills: taking inventory
• Warehouse skills: loading and unloading trucks
• Comfortable handling customer complaints
