Join Staffmark's team in La Porte, TX, as we seek a proficient Heavy Equipment Operator to collaborate with a respected master distributor, supplier, and wholesaler of carbon steel weld fittings, flanges, forged steel fittings, and valves.
Shift: 1st shift, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay: $18-$20 per hour DOE
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of warehouse-related experience in shipping and receiving
- 3+ years of forklift experience with certification
- Advantageous to have experience handling pipe, including both carbon and stainless steel
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to observing all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Availability for a minimum of 40 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Assist in shipping and receiving, including unloading trucks and checking merchandise
- Organize and store materials according to organizational standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by ensuring shelves, pallet areas, and workstations are neat and organized
- Wear appropriate safety equipment at all times
- Operate heavy equipment, including FL 25k, effectively
- Previous experience in a pipe yard is preferred
