About this job

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Trains company personnel as needed in areas such as use of equipment, inspection methods, statistical sampling methods, label control and other QC processes, as applicable.
  • Assists supervisor/manager in preparation of performance reviews for inspectors.
  • Coordinates with Production and Operations the scheduling of inspectors.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality control and manufacturing documentation.
  • Conducts and manages inspection using various quality control equipment to meet product specification.
  • Demonstrates understanding of applicable quality inspection, per specification.
  • Assists with product/process non-conformance analysis as needed in conjunction with manufacturing and engineering personnel review and issues non-conformance reports.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the quality issues and exercises good judgment on when to escalate to senior staff.
  • Reviews general manufacturing records for compliance with applicable internal procedures and policies and regulatory requirements. Performs review of each record (and certificate of analysis, as required) for accuracy and completeness of data.
  • Interacts with other departments to resolve documentation issues.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of inspection experience
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment


Desired:

  • Experience with clean room manufacturing
  • Experience with good manufacturing practices in a regulated industry

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to pay strict attention to details
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow directions and make sound decisions.
