Crissair is looking for an experienced machinist with prior experience machining aerospace parts to join our 2nd shift. Candidates will start their training during 1st shift (M-Th 6am - 4:30pm) then be phased into 2nd shift once training is completed.

Summary
Responsible for all aspects of CNC Mill operations in the production of precision aerospace components.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other tasks and duties may be required as directed.
• Oversee the operation and setups of computer numerical controlled 3 and 4 axis milling machines.
• Create and edit manual data input (MDI) machine tool codes at the machine control.
• Responsible for the efficient utilization of machinery including the use of automatic features and the output of quality product.
• Select the proper work holding equipment, and ensure competitive removal rates and setup times are maintained or advanced.
• Notify Cell Leader or Machine Shop Manager if any setup or total run-time will exceed the standard.
• Ensure proper maintenance of the machine tools.
• Seek and document lean process improvement ideas.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, and offsets as required.
• Fabricate fixtures and work holding equipment as necessary.
• Sharpen drills and other cutting tools.
• Inspect work to ensure compliance to drawing requirements.
• Responsible for meeting production standards.
• Assist Cell Leader in maintaining production dispatch report on time.

Qualification Requirements
Education/Experience
• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); three to five years related experience or training.

Language Skills
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write in simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees.

Math Skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer/Technical/ Office Skills
• Basic windows/internet browser

• OCP Certification
