The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. The Assistant Store Manager will be responsible for maintaining the daily operation of the sales floor, including cash registers and customer service. The Assistant Store Manager will work with the Store Manager to provide support for and accountability over the Grocery, Produce, Wellness, and HBC departments.

The Assistant Store Manager would report to the Store Manager. This position is a full-time position, not to exceed 40 hours per week.


Requirements:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • 2+ years' experience in customer service and retail management.
  • An associates or bachelor's degree

Responsibilities:

  • Must complete regular audits of the store and each department to maintain operational excellence.
  • Must be able to maintain operation of the store while the Store Manager is unavailable or off work.
  • Expected to be able to step in and out of any role in the store to maintain optimal operation at all times.
  • Expected to maintain operational compliance of the store with the support of the Store Manager and Operations.
  • Maintain safety standards in the store at all times for employees and customers.
  • Must be comfortable resolving questions, concerns or complaints brought up by customers and staff in a way that resolves the situation, leaving the customer satisfied.
  • Expected to accomplish any task assigned to them by the Store Manager or Owner, as needed.

This position will be required to lift up to 20 pounds often and 50 pounds rarely. This position will be mostly indoors in a climate-controlled environment, with occasional outdoor exposure, which could consist of hot and cold temperatures as well as potential exposure to wind and precipitation. This position will be expected to stand and walk often, to sit and squat or kneel occasionally, and to climb rarely.
