We are a faith-based organization dedicated to serving our community with compassion and commitment. Our team is seeking a seasoned IT Technical Support Specialist to manage and enhance our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations for our 50-member office. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission by providing efficient IT solutions and support, and extends to assisting our Media Technical team.

Role Summary:

As an IT Technical Support Specialist, you will be the backbone of our office IT operations, supporting a diverse environment of Windows and Mac workstations, managing our basic infrastructure needs including network, server, and telephony systems. Beyond traditional IT support, this role offers the unique opportunity to support the Media Technical team, comprised of Sound, Lights, and Media. This is a Level 2 position, designed for individuals with a proven track record in IT support, a passion for technology, problem-solving, and an interest in media production.

Responsibilities:

  • General IT Support: Provide daily IT support for 50 users, addressing issues related to printers, workstations (Windows and Mac), and general IT queries.
  • Infrastructure Support: Offer basic support for networking, server maintenance, and telephone systems in collaboration with our third-party IT partners.
  • Workstation Setup: Manage setup procedures for new hires, ensuring all necessary equipment and software are properly installed and configured.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting: Work closely with our third-party IT company to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues that surpass in-house capabilities.
  • Desktop Support: Assist team members in troubleshooting desktop-related problems, enhancing office productivity and user satisfaction.
  • Remote Setup Support: Provide necessary assistance for approved team members requiring remote work capabilities.
  • Server Maintenance: Participate in server support and maintenance tasks, in partnership with third-party IT service providers.
  • Media Technical Team Support: Assist the Media Technical team, involving Sound, Lights, and Media, in preparing for services in collaboration with the worship and production teams. No prior experience is required for this aspect of the role as training will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of three years in IT support roles, with a strong background in both Windows and Mac OS environments. Previous experience in a Level 2 technical support position is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledgeable in basic server and network management. Familiarity with IT infrastructure components and their maintenance.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, people skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Must be capable of coordinating projects with third-party IT services.
  • Education: Relevant certifications or degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields are advantageous.
