F&B Host/Cashier

SUMMARY:

The F&B Host/Cashier will greet guests, escort them to their table and provide menus. As the guest leaves, the Host/Cashier will take their payment and settle their check, ensuring Genuine Service is provided at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide a positive impression of the F&B outlets by greeting guests in a warm, genuine manner.
2. Takes To Go orders, phone orders and room service orders.
3. If guests have to wait to be seated, Host/Cashiers are expected to make them comfortable while they wait.
4. Ensures all menus are wiped down and presentable prior to seating the guest.
5. Locate a table that is the right size for the guests and seats them according to proper table rotation.
6. Moves tables and adjusts seating for large parties.
7. Sets tables with silverware, placemats and menus.
8. Takes check and method of payment from guest and properly rings it under the appropriate payment type. Provides change as necessary.
9. Maintains paperwork in a neat organized manner and turns in to the cage along with bank amount and revenue at the end of each shift.
10. Maintains an open line of communication with Supervisors and Managers concerning any guest issues, problems and/or solutions.
11. Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests and fellow team members.
12. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

None.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Alcohol Awareness Card and Clark County Health Card required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Micros or similar POS software experience preferred.

MACHINERY USED

Cash register, Microsoft Office products, dry erase board, telephone.
