Supervisor Trainee (Landscape Maintenance Crew)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be trained in 6 to 8 different roles within our landscape maintenance crew, gaining practical experience in various aspects of our operations.
  • Learn to lead by example, holding yourself and others to high standards of work ethic, professionalism, and safety practices.
  • Take responsibility for your actions and decisions while holding yourself and your team accountable for achieving set goals and maintaining quality standards.
  • Work closely with fellow team members, creating a positive and efficient team environment.
  • Take on opportunities for personal and professional growth, finding ways to enhance skills and contribute to the company's success.
  • Operate vehicles and powered equipment associated with landscape maintenance such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, sod cutters, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, blowers and hand tools.
  • Perform basic landscape duties associated with commercial landscaping on large client properties, including but not limited to, mowing, edging, trimming, aerating, top dressing, laying down sod and mulch, planting flowers, cleaning up debris, digging, blowing leaves, pulling weeds, watering plans etc.
  • Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters, burial sites, or other grounds features which includes gathering and removing litter.
  • Take care of all equipment, materials and uniforms assigned to you: neat and clean appearance as well as adherence to company dress policy required.
  • Professional demeanor, integrity, and honesty
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • No prior landscaping experience required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A desire to grow and advance within the landscaping industry.
