Granite Production: Hand Polisher
Position Details:
- Compensation: $19+ per hour. Based on Experience
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, and Friday for overtime as needed.
Requirements:
- Consistent employment for one year within the last two years.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to learn to operate overhead cranes.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including tape measures.
- Ability to read and write English for shop tickets.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Willingness to cross-train and work on a production line.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically.
- Standing throughout the entire shift. Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Cut, grind, and polish stone using various hand tools as specified.
- Occasional use of air tools for touch-up and detail work
- Apply thermal finishes with a torch.
- Applying finishes on the stone using automated polish equipment and small power tools.
- Use square and straightedge to check and layout stone for anchor holes and edge treatment.
- Familiarity with 5-S and TPM duties in the work area.
