Service Technician

Job Summary:
Joe Rizza Ford Lincoln is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team in Orland Park, Illinois. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing automotive maintenance and repairs on vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. This is a full-time position with a commission-only structure, offering the opportunity to work hands-on with the latest technology in the auto industry.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a union flat rate journeyman position.  Local 701 wages apply.  In addition, Joe Rizza Ford Lincoln offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, employee discounts, and ongoing training and development.

Responsibilities:
• Perform routine automotive maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including but not limited to oil changes, tire rotations, and brake repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with vehicles using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.
• Document all repairs and maintenance performed on customer vehicles accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to provide updates and recommendations on repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Stay current with the latest automotive technology and techniques through ongoing training and development.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Service Technician at a Ford Lincoln dealer.
• Strong knowledge of automotive mechanics and repair techniques.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
